Please complete a TRIAL REGISTRATION FORM before attending trials. There is a £5 trial fee which you should bring with you on the day.
Please see the information below which should help you to decide which Squad you should be trialling for. If you attend Squad 1 trials and are not of the required standard you will be considered for a Squad 2 team.

Training Squads and Team Squads
Cumberland has two senior training squads that consist of three – four competitive team squads. 12 – 14 players are selected for each team squad, and each team squad has a dedicated coach and match day manager.
Squad 1: Premier, Regional and A Team Squads
• The Premier Team competes in the National Premier League Division 3
• The Regional Team competes in the London & South East Regional League Division 2
• Players from both these team squads also play in the London Polytechnic Invitational Netball League Division 1
• The A Team competes in the Middlesex County Netball League Division 1, and the North London Netball League Premier Division
Squad 2: B, C, D and E Team Squads
• The B Team competes in the Middlesex County Netball League Division 1, and the North London Netball League Division 1
• The C Team competes in the Middlesex County Netball League Division 2, and the North London Netball League Division 2
• The D Team competes in the North London Netball League Division 4, and the Acton League Division 2
• The E Team competes in the North London Netball League Division 5
• The E Team includes youth players aged 14-18
What are we looking for?
Squad 1 is looking for talented players who have experience playing at the very highest competitive levels of netball. For example players who have recently competed at one or more of the following levels (this is not an exhaustive list but is meant to give you an idea of the level of player we are looking for):
Squad 2 is looking for players who have a good level of playing ability. For example players who have recently played at one or more of the following levels (again this is not an exhaustive list):
• Local League
• Club netball
• University or College netball
• If you’re aged between 15-18 school netball
• Reasonable standard of social or mixed netball
If you have not played netball before or for a very long time please get in touch with us to discuss the most suitable opportunity for you to play. We are currently coaching some Back to Netball Courses with England Netball in Barnet and Camden and also have links with social netball teams in the area.
What will happen on the day?
Make sure you turn up in suitable playing kit, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat or waterproofs etc. depending on the weather.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the times stated above, in order to register. Please ensure you bring with you your £5 trial fee (if you do not bring this on the day you may not be able to trial).
The trials for each squad will take the following format:
Selectors will be noting your abilities throughout each of the sections, as well as your ability to listen and put into practice instructions.
