Leagues
LeaguesFor the 2011/12 season, Cumberland NC has seven senior netball teams, a youth (U16s) team (also known as our F team), and two junior teams (U12s & U14s). Our teams compete in a range of competitive leagues appropriate to the standards and abilities of our players. All fixtures are played at weekends, for most teams this is usually Saturdays, except our Prem Team who play on Sundays.
England Netball National Premier League
Premier League Netball is the highest level of club netball in the country and the teams that make up the 3 divisions have come through a gruelling county, regional and national pathway to take one of the coveted 30 places. Our Prem team won a place in division 3 at the end of the 2009/10 season and have gone on to gain promotion into division 2 at the end of the 2010/11 season. London & South East Regional League
Regional League Netball is the next level of club netball (after the Premier League) available to clubs in England. Our Regional Team competes in division 2 of the London and the South East Regional League and are looking for promotion to division 1 this season. Matches are played (indoors) within London and the South East on a home and away basis. London Polytechnic Netball League
The Poly league is an invitational league consisting of EN affiliated clubs that have teams and squads that compete at premier or regional league standard or a consistently high standard in a county league. Matches are played (usually indoors) at home and away venues within the M25. Players from our Prem and Regional teams compete in division 1 of the League.
Middlesex County Netball League
County League Netball offers a high standard of competitive netball to talented, experienced and developing players. Our A, B and C teams play in the three divisions of the Middlesex County Netball League. Matches are played outdoors at two central venues, Brunel University, Uxbridge and Broomfield Park, Palmers Green. North London Netball League
The North London Netball League (NLNL) is a well established women's league that has been running successfully for over 50 years. The League is made up of five divisions of varying standards. The League also runs a thriving junior league with divisions for U12s, U14s and U16s. Our A, B, C, D, E and F teams compete in the senior NLNL. And our juniors compete in the U14 junior league. Acton Netball League
Acton Netball League is another long-established netball league based in London. Matches are played outdoors at a central venue in Osterley, West London. Our D team currently competes in the Acton League, and we are entering an F team to the League in the 2011/12 season.
