Cumberland A team took on the highly rated Minchenden on Saturday in their third Regional match of the season. Unbeaten to date in this league Cumberland went into the match looking forward to the challenge.
Cumberland led from the onset with a strong performance from the whole team forcing errors and turnover ball, finishing the first quarter 11 goals ahead. Excellent mid-court defence throughout the match saw the team extend their lead each quarter. Cumberland played an outstanding 4th quarter to the match with good circle defence preventing scoring opportunities and a fantastic shooting display from Krista Priscott and Kirsty Smith. The squad stormed to a 59-26 win.
