C Team Match Report, 20.09.08

Cumberland C team had a tough match on Saturday against Palmers Green, traditional rivals.
In the first quarter Palmers pulled away partially due to their strong defence. The 2nd and 3rd quarter worked better with the Cumberland defence providing back up for the attack and player of the match Jenny GD and Claire GK getting some excellent tips but we were unable to claw back the goal difference. The last quarter was the best for Cumberland – we won the last quarter 12-7 with a fantastic performance by everyone with some tough but successful shots put up but sadly it was not enough to win the game, the final score being 30-24.
Excellent performance by everyone and a great place to be in for the next game.
