Cumberland scoop victory and fly into final!

Cumberland A team’s triumphant season has not yet come to an end with the girls traveling to Manchester this weekend to take on Dominoes in the semi final of the Challenge Cup plate.

Cumberland were made to work hard against a young and enthusiastic Dominoes team on Sunday 15 June who put in a strong and spirited performance. The first quarter was a very even contest, with Cumberland finding themselves trailing 11-12 at the break.

The second quarter saw Cumberland exert dominance on the game and with accurate shooting from Krista Priscott and Kelly Hutton, the team opened up a 6 goal half time advantage. The second half saw two evenly matched teams battle it out as both chased victory, however Cumberland maintained their advantage to win 48-41 and secure their place in the Challenge Cup Plate Final at The Netball Centre, Loughborough University on Sunday the 29th June at 1 p.m.
