Challenge Cup
The Challenge Cup is netball's answer to the FA Cup and is the knock out cup of dreams for England Netball. The Challenge Cup offers every affiliated team in England the opportunity to compete against the giants of the Premier League in the sport's only national knock out competition.
Cumberland's A Team faced last year's winners, Academy, in their very first game which unfortunately we lost. However, Cumberland were then given the opportunity to compete for the Plate and have now made it to the quarter finals having already knocked out one National Premier Two side, Tongham Tornadoes, a giant killing feat from a mere County League side!
Our next opponents are Sussex Club who have just gained promotion to National Premier Two so another David vs Goliath situation presents itself.
Any support to help Cumberland go all the way to the final, to be played in Loughborough on the 29th June, would be hugely appreciated as it will help put our very special club on the national netballing map.
The quarter final against Sussex Club is 31st May at 11am.
