Cumberland girls net double against rivals

CUMBERLAND Netball Club celebrated a great double at the weekend when they clinched back-to-back league wins to continue their outstanding start to the season.
The triumphant squad beat north London rivals Minchenden in the Premier Division of the Middlesex League at Broomfield Park on Saturday.
Player of the match Krista Priscott (pictured shooting) put in a solid mid-court display, and accurate shootingto lead Cumberland to a 54-34 win.
The Camden and Islington based club were just as lethal on Sunday when they overcame south London’s Comets in the POLY League at the Camden Sports Pitch.
The girls ground out a hard fought victory as they battled against the cold, blustery conditions.
Only two goals separated the teams at half-time, but Cumberland put in a huge third quarter to seal a thrilling 48 to 33 goal victory.
