A team turn around a 10 goal deficit

Cumberland A made an amazing comeback this weekend against Old Fincunians. Playing in the Premier Division of North London Netball League, in strong winds the team struggled to make headway in the first quarter. By half time Cumberland was 10 goals down and looked to be in trouble. However, after some inspired changes made by captain Gemma Cooke at half time, the team fought back strongly in the third quarter, first closing in to equal the scores and then taking a surprise three goal lead.

D Team update

After a slow start to the season the D Team have started to gather some momentum, winning our last 3 games in a row (two matches in Acton league and one match in North London).

In Saturday's match in Acton the team played well securing a convincing win, 56-4! Everyone played exceptionally well and got at least one intercept. The team is really starting to gel together, and have grown in confidence after last week's match in North London where we came from behind going into the 4th quarter to win 32-28.

A Team update

After a slow start this season, the A’s have grown in confidence as the team began to gel. Some great recent wins include a close-fought victory over Minchenden B, and an historic, first-ever win over Poly A. The team is currently second in the Middlesex County League First Division and hoping for promotion; and sixth in North London Premier Division.

Premier Team update

The Premier Team are currently flying high in League 3 during their first season playing national netball, third position and hoping to climb higher!

Cumberland Premier 3 Division Match Report

Cumberland traveled up to Chester this weekend for the beginning of round two in the Premier 3 division, hopeful to replicate their 41-26 win in the first round.  The goal count in this game was much higher, largely due to improved shooting performances from both teams.

Cumberland storm to a strong win in Premier!

The Cumberland Prem team travelled to Birmingham on Sunday to take on Elmdon.
Cumberland went out focussed and strong and took a 17-5 lead in the first quarter. The defence was tight, with many turnovers, finished off by smart attacking and sharp shooting.
